Supervisor and Operator Training Day, RootWave Pro.

A revolutionary new weed management technology is now available in New Zealand. To better understand the technology and to train and certify uses, local workshops are being hosted by Avon-Otakaro Network, Lincoln University’s Future Farming Centre, Hot Grass and the Christchurch City Council. Friday 1st March, First Floor Function Room, Civic Offices 53 Hereford Street
9am to 4pm – Theory and Practical training & certification for people wanting to use the electrothemal technology
This full day is aimed at contractors who seek to trial the technology in the field and require certification.
9-11 Theory – Safe Operation of the RootWave Pro electrothermal weeder.
11-12 Theory assessment, online, please bring your own device (ipad, smart phone, laptop.)
12:30 – 5. Practical assessment. Each operator will be booked for a half hour time-slot during the afternoon. During this time operators will demonstrate competence in operating the RootWave Pro to receive certification.
Summary: Kazel will provide training and certification to contractors who will be able to book and use the RootWave Pro. Training involves a theory and practical assessment, and certification will be valid for a year, allowing contractors to assess the suitability of the machine for their weed control targets.
Please bring a packed lunch for the day – tea/coffee will be provided. Registration for this training is essential. If required, practical assessments may continue on Sat 2nd March, and Monday 3rd.
Managers and supervisors of contractors are advised to attend the morning theory session 9-11 in order to understand the protocols of safe operation.
